MLD can be used to alleviate post-surgical swelling and discomfort, helping you to feel better faster. Medicupping may be incorporated in the later stages of healing to address scar tissue.  The length of the session is determined by what procedure you have had. Medicupping and other myofacial release tools are used to soften areas of myofascial restriction and "solid bloat" from an accumulation of fluid or dehydration of the tissues brought on by inflammation or fascial restrictions. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is then used to move excess fluid through the lymphatic capillaries so your body can eliminate it. It is advised to stay hydrated to aid the elimination process and have a healthy diet. 

To be the most effective, a series of 8 treatments, done twice a week is recommended.
